Most fresh food arrives with no history. You are asked to take “fresh” on trust, with nothing to check it against. heyfresh keeps the record of where something was grown, when it was picked and where it has been since — and shows it to you.

1. The grower
Every item is bought from a named grower or estate rather than an anonymous wholesale lot. That name stays attached to the product all the way through — it is on the product page before you buy, and on your order after.
2. Harvest
Some things are held as stock; others are cut only once you have ordered them, so they are picked the morning they travel. Each product says which it is, because it changes how fresh what you receive actually is.
3. Origin hub
Harvested produce is checked in at the hub nearest the grower, weighed, graded and put on the cold chain where it needs one. This is the first point where the item exists in our system as a countable thing.
4. Through the network
If the item is going to another city, it moves hub to hub rather than sitting in a market. Shelf-stable goods travel further; genuinely perishable things stay close to where they were grown, and we will say so rather than post them.
5. Destination hub
At the hub serving your city the order is picked, packed and handed to a rider. Stock is decremented against your specific order, so the availability you saw was real.
6. To you
The rider delivers against your order, confirmed on handover. You can follow the order while it is on its way.

That record is the point of the whole network. It is why a product page can tell you the grower and the harvest method, why a region has its own page, and why an item that would not survive the journey is marked as such instead of being sold to you anyway.

- Where does heyfresh source its produce?
- From growers and estates in specific regions rather than from anonymous wholesale. Each product page names the region and the grower it came from, and each region has its own page listing everything we source there.
- How fresh is the produce?
- It depends on the item, and we show which is which instead of making a blanket claim. Some products are cut to order and picked the morning they travel to you; others are held as hub stock. Every product page shows how it is harvested and how long it keeps.
- Can I see where my order is?
- Yes. Once an order is placed you can follow it through the network — picked at the hub, out for delivery, and delivered — from your order page.
- What happens when a product is out of season?
- Seasonal products are shown honestly as out of season rather than quietly hidden, with the next harvest named where we know it. You can pre-order some of them so one is held for you when it is picked.
- Can I subscribe to fresh vegetables?
- Yes — a standing order repeats your items on a weekly rhythm, and you can pause or skip any week.
